What it does
MCP Gateway is a Windows desktop application that automatically discovers, monitors, and controls MCP servers running on your local machine. It detects servers configured in Claude Code, Codex, and system environment variables — giving you a single dashboard to start, stop, and inspect all your local MCP instances.
Tools
- auto-discover — Scans your machine and network for MCP servers configured in Claude Code, Codex, and environment variables.
- server-control — Start, stop, and manage discovered servers from the dashboard.
- refresh — Rescan for new or changed server configurations.
Installation
Download the Windows installer from the GitHub release page and run the .exe file.
No MCP server configuration is needed — MCP Gateway is a desktop management tool, not a server you add to claude_desktop_config.json.
