SF Data Cloud — Connect
from sf-skills285
Tools and workflows to discover, inspect, test, and create Salesforce Data Cloud connector connections and their schemas.
What it does
Provides step-by-step CLI-driven procedures and examples for the Data Cloud connect phase: discovering connector types, inspecting existing connections and schemas, testing connections, and creating connector payloads for external sources (Snowflake, Redshift, SharePoint Unstructured, Ingestion API).
When to use it
Use this skill when you need to: discover available connector types in an org, inspect connection metadata or uploaded schemas, run connection tests, or create/update connection definitions for external systems. Avoid using it for stream/DLO creation, DMO harmonization, or retrieval/search workflows.
What's included
- Scripts: none bundled in the skill (has_scripts=false) — but the SKILL.md references organization readiness and diagnostic scripts.
- References: examples payloads for common connectors (heroku-postgres, redshift, snowflake, sharepoint-unstructured, ingest-api) are documented in the repo.
- Instructions: CLI commands and a recommended workflow (readiness check → connector discovery → inspect by type → inspect specific connection → test/create with curated payloads).
Compatible agents
Best used by agents with CLI and Salesforce tooling support (Claude Code / Claude Code-hosted skills or any agent with shell/gh/git access and ability to run the sf data360 plugin).
