Colima provides a minimal setup for running container runtimes on macOS and Linux. It wraps Lima to boot a small VM and provisions runtimes like Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, and Incus, ensuring host clients work seamlessly.

Key Capabilities:

Multi-Runtime Support: Switch between Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, and Incus.
Resource Management: Easy configuration of CPU, memory, and disk space via flags or YAML.
AI Workloads: Support for running AI models with GPU acceleration on Apple Silicon.
Automation: Provides patterns for non-interactive bootstrap and CI scripts, including idempotent start guards and readiness loops.
Troubleshooting: Comprehensive guides for fixing common Docker socket errors, broken VM status, and mount issues.
