Adapter Assistant (LimaCharlie)

What it does

This skill guides agents through the full adapter lifecycle for LimaCharlie: discovery, configuration generation, validation, deployment, and troubleshooting. It dynamically researches local docs, GitHub adapter code, and external product docs to produce complete adapter configurations and parsing rules, including grok patterns and indexing recommendations.

When to use it

Use this skill when onboarding new data sources (Okta, Azure Event Hub, S3, syslog, webhooks), when troubleshooting adapters that aren’t receiving data, or when you need to audit adapters across organizations. It suits tasks that require CLI access and YAML generation for LimaCharlie.
