What it does
Cowart provides a native, infinite-canvas visual workspace within Codex based on tldraw. It allows users to brainstorm, annotate, and generate images directly on a spatial canvas, with data persisted to the local project directory.
Key features
- Native Canvas Widget: Opens a full tldraw infinite canvas directly in Codex without needing a browser.
- AI Image Generation: Create AI image boxes, input prompts/references, and replace them with AI-generated images matching the box's position and aspect ratio.
- Annotation-based Iteration: Submit screenshots of annotated images to Codex to generate cleaned-up revisions based on visual marks.
- Local Persistence: Automatically saves canvas state and assets to the project's
canvas/directory.
Installation
- Codex: Clone the repository to
~/plugins/cowart, add to personal marketplace, and runcodex plugin add cowart@personal.
